1Introduction & Roles

This Privacy Policy explains how Scoper collects, processes, and protects personal information. Because we operate in Canada and handle personally identifiable information (PII), we strictly align our infrastructure with PIPEDA standards.

Data Controller vs. Data Processor

As a contractor using Scoper, you are the Data Controller. You own the data of your clients and homeowners. Scoper is the Data Processor. We merely provide the infrastructure to store and process it on your behalf. We will never sell, rent, or market to the homeowners listed in your database.

2Third-Party Sub-Processors

To deliver our service, data passes through secure third-party infrastructure. By using Scoper, you acknowledge and agree that your data is processed by our trusted sub-processors, which include:

Cloud Hosting & Databases: Vercel and Supabase.
Communications APIs: Twilio (for SMS) and Resend (for email delivery).

These sub-processors only handle data to the extent required to perform their infrastructural functions and are bound by stringent security agreements.

3Data Retention and Deletion

When a contractor account is canceled or terminated:

Your access to the platform is revoked immediately.
We retain your tenant database for 30 days to allow for accidental cancellation recovery.
After 30 days, your tenant ID and all associated homeowner data, quotes, and media files are permanently purged from our PostgreSQL database and storage buckets.
